DEVOLUTION & COMBINED AUTHORITIES
Devolution presents a huge opportunity through fundamental changes to the way decisions are made for local areas and how public services are funded.
Combined Authorities are one mechanism which Councils may use to work together with other local partners on the issues and opportunities that apply across existing boundaries, such as infrastructure and growth.
With any development and change across organisational and geographic boundaries there are challenges as well as opportunities. We nurture new ways of thinking, behaving and being to make change possible.
The Leadership Centre works with senior political and managerial leaders in localities to examine complex, multifaceted issues where there’s no clear way forward, keeping focussed on real issues of importance to communities; re-design and co-ordination of services, economic growth and better health and wellbeing of local residents.
Working with localities across the country, where traditional approaches have come unstuck, through leadership development we create spaces for challenging conversations, large scale interventions and everything in-between.
We’re working with a number of places grappling with the complex issues that arise from devolution, localism and combined authorities and if you feel that you may benefit from similar support we’d like to hear from you, so please get in touch.
